SICHCOn April 15, 2016 Swedish Institute participated in the Student Scrub Bowl, an annual event that was won in 2015 by Onondaga Community College. The event was held at Niagara Community College, just a few steps away from the thundering waters of Niagara Falls. This is a scholastic competition among various CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited Surgical Technologist programs.

The competition consisted of two rounds, and 70 questions. Colleges were judged based on the amount of points they were able to accumulate within a specified period of time. At the end of the event, the students of Swedish Institute had earned first place honors! Swedish was represented by three students: Marc Isenhart (team captain), Stephen Miller, and Charnu Sriudom. The faculty advisors were Hazelyn Bernardino and Maria Sebastian. In addition, several other faculty and students of the college attended to provide support to the team.

Congratulations to all who participated!!
