Neva Hall_Jan 2015LIM College has announced that Neva Hall, Executive Vice President of Neiman Marcus Stores and a member of LIM College’s Class of 1974, will deliver the keynote address at the College’s 76th Commencement exercises on May 26 at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center in Manhattan. Ms. Hall will also receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree and the LIM College Distinguished Achievement Award.

“Since graduating from LIM College in 1974 Neva has gone on to build an impressive career in the business of fashion. She is an excellent role model for our graduates. As an alumna, she exemplifies the opportunities for success that an LIM College education represents. We are thrilled to have her as our Commencement speaker and I am certain her presence will inspire our Class of 2015 as they launch their own careers,” said LIM College President Elizabeth S. Marcuse.

Neiman Marcus Stores is a division of Neiman Marcus Group, a premier retailer of luxury and designer merchandise in the United States. Since 1907, the Neiman Marcus Group has been known for its commitment to merchandising excellence and customer service. Presently, Ms. Hall oversees the management of 41 Neiman Marcus Stores, Neiman Marcus Food Services and Store Operations. She and her team of store directors implement the selling and marketing, merchandising and planning strategies for Neiman Marcus Stores. Her professional expertise includes creating the framework for Neiman Marcus’s sustained growth and expansion into new markets, and developing strong leaders.

An active participant in philanthropic and civic organizations in North Texas, Ms. Hall has served on the board of Ability Connection Texas, which provides care and support for people with physical and intellectual disabilities, for more than six years. She has also served on the boards of the Central Dallas Association and Inside the Loop, two organizations devoted to the redevelopment of the downtown Dallas business district.

At LIM College’s 2014 Commencement ceremony, Ms. Hall was the recipient of the first annual Maxwell F. Marcuse Award, which recognizes an LIM graduate who has reached the pinnacle of success within the business of fashion.
