Winner_WomenswearLIM College’s womenswear team took second place in this year’s Amazon Fashion Studio Sessions. Rufina Yusupova, Danielle Pujia, Marisa Karenchak, Maleeka Harmon, and Danielle Kassof will split a $10,000 cash prize for their efforts in the third annual creative competition for top New York-area fashion students.

The competition to create an editorial campaign image styled with merchandise from Amazon Fashion’s holiday-season fashion closet (in just one day) was held October 17 in Amazon Fashion’s state-of-the-art studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Five participating schools each assembled two five-person teams. One team created a women’s fashion campaign image; the other, a menswear image. Amazon Fashion  provided each team a dedicated photography bay, as well as all the tools the competing students needed — models, hair and makeup, wardrobe, props, equipment — to create a compelling editorial message.

Each team required a student to specialize in each of the following areas: wardrobe styling, graphic design/post-production, photography, art direction / set design, and fashion and/or accessories editing. Professional industry mentors advised students throughout the day. After the teams presented their final work, Amazon Fashion executives selected the winning editorials.
