Sheila Dynan, Berkeley CollegeBerkeley College is proud to announce the appointment of Sheila J. Dynan, LCSW, DMH, as Dean, School of Health Studies. Dr. Dynan will be responsible for providing organizational leadership for a range of instructional certifications and degrees that include the Health Services Administration and Management, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technology, Practical Nurse, Health Sciences, Multi-level Patient Care Technician, and Surgical Processing Technician programs.

“Dr. Dynan is a dedicated higher education professional who brings a wealth of expertise to lead the Berkeley College School of Health Studies,” said Marianne Vakalis, EdD, Berkeley College Provost. “As Dean, she will ensure that students in the School of Health Studies gain practical knowledge and develop the skills necessary to achieve successful careers.”

Dr. Dynan most recently served as the Program Chair of Allied Health and Fitness at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ, where she was a tenured faculty member. She holds a Doctor of Medical Humanities from Drew University, an MSW from New York University, an MA in Physical Education Administration from Montclair State University, and a BS in Physical Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Dr. Dynan also holds numerous licenses, certifications and professional affiliations. Among these are: the Continuing Education Approval Committee of the National Association of Social Workers, NJ Chapter; Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving as a Mental Health Crisis Intervention professional and supervisor at Morristown Memorial Hospital; and Adjunct Lecturer at the NYU Graduate School of Social Work.

An active volunteer in national and international organizations, Dr. Dynan currently resides in Morris Plains, NJ.
