The Berkeley College School of Graduate Studies hosted an orientation for its first class of students entering the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management program on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.  “This program has been years in the planning and you are part of a special class,” said Chris Grevesen, PhD, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies. “You have distinguished yourselves as successful undergraduate students and professionals in your fields – as Berkeley MBA students you are ready to take the next step to becoming ‘super managers.’ ”

Dr. Grevesen said there are seven traits that separate super managers from average managers. “Super managers are extraordinary communicators, intuitive analysts, agile problem solvers, global business architects, panoramic thinkers, innovators and change agents, and responsible leaders grounded in ethics and stewardship,” he said.

Members of the first Berkeley College MBA class of 46 students met with faculty and administrators, and participated in informational sessions about support services and resources available to graduate students.

Stella Ordiales and Manuel Deleon are two of the graduate students who expressed their delight at being accepted into the MBA program. Classes for the fall semester begin Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
